The current Robocup soccer team consists of 4 field players and one goal keeper which are already 4 years old. Recent game experience showed that there is a need for a dedicated goal keeper robot. Currently the goal keeper is the same as a field player, but the goal keeper needs extending arms, that go to the left, the right and up.
We are in the process of testing a prototype of these moving arms, but this design needs to be detailed out to be able to mount it on our real goalkeeper.
This means you need to work closely together with a team of electrical and software engineers to make this a success.
Next to this there are other mechanical issues we need to solve, like:
- Weight reduction
- New improved CPU box
- New covers for better servicability
